Introduction

Qisit (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a quiz app where users create, share, and play quizzes. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

  • Account information — email address and display name when you sign in with Google, Apple, or magic link.
  • Quiz content — questions and quizzes you create are stored on our servers.
  • Usage data — answers, quiz scores, and usefulness ratings to improve content quality.
  • Push notification token — to send you daily quiz reminders if you opt in.
  • Device time zone — to schedule notifications at your preferred local time.
  • Crash and error reports — device model, OS version, and error stack traces to diagnose issues.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the quiz experience.
  • To send push notifications you have opted into.
  • To display your username to friends and room participants.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Qisit:

  • Supabase (hosted on AWS, EU region) — database, authentication, and real-time features.
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting. Collects device model, OS version, and error stack traces. No personal content is sent.
  • Apple / Google sign-in — authentication only. We receive your name and email; we do not access other account data.
  • Expo Push Notifications — delivers push notifications via Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM).

We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is only shared with the services listed above for the purposes described in this policy.

Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region). We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Crash reports in Sentry are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app under Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Questions you contributed may be retained in anonymised form (with no link to your identity) to preserve quizzes created by other users.

Children's Privacy

Qisit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
